We understand how hard it is to find public transport from Lombok to Labuan Jambu Village, so the overland journey, ferry crossing, and accommodation are all arranged for you. Whale sharks are easiest to find at six in the morning, when the bagan fishermen haul their nets and plankton scatters across the surface.

Day 1
Overland Lombok – Sumbawa
- 10.00Pickup at Lombok Airport, Mataram, or the Senggigi area, then on to Kayangan Harbour in East Lombok
- 12.00Arriving at Kayangan Harbour and crossing to Poto Tano Harbour
- 14.00Arriving at Poto Tano Harbour, then a roughly five-hour overland drive to Labuan Jambu Village
- 20.00Arriving at Labuan Jambu Village, checking in and resting

- Best Time to Visit
- April to November is the best window: calmer seas, clearer water, and the bagan fishermen operating regularly. If your dates are flexible, avoid January to March when the weather turns unpredictable.
